Coming quickly to SF: Bruce White’s “ICONS”

Spoke Artwork is ecstatic to be saying our subsequent exhibition in San Francisco, artist Bruce White‘s ICONS. Outfitted with a contemporary crop of velvet canvases, Bruce has created a set of iconic portraits that includes champions of humanity and inclusivity. 

From popular culture giants to politicians preventing for optimistic change, this exhibition is a real celebration of the variations that may be made when variety is championed. Bruce had this to say in regards to the inspiration behind this sequence, “The earliest identified black velvet work have been introduced again by Marco Polo from Kashmir. As a result of the material was so costly, it was reserved just for portraits of royalty and non secular icons, topics of reverence and worship.  I wish to elevate and equate these heroes and allies of the LGBTQ motion to the extent of royalty and sainthood, celebrating the range that shapes our standard tradition. “
